Feds Relax Restrictions, Airlines Can Halt Service to Smaller Airports

Automatic TRANSCRIPT

Another sign of the struggling travel industry amid the pandemic as airlines seek to stop service to some cities the transportation department's announcement allows fifteen airlines including American delta and United to stop flying to some sixty cities like Worcester Massachusetts Erie Pennsylvania and Lincoln Nebraska the airlines argument is that there is little demand for flights to the cities and others some of which can be served by nearby airports the department's ruling stipulates that these cities will still be served by other airlines so service to these cities won't stop completely
