Listen: Basketball, South Florida, USF discussed on Sports Gambling Radio - By BangTheBook
"I think it's been a whole lot of fun. And you know, obviously here it's been good to chat college basketball. All over the last several weeks. Hopefully, we can finish things out strong here. And let's go ahead and start with the CBI because that game tonight, south Florida, and depaul a buzzer beater, a thriller for south Florida in game one this is a three game series both games at depaul if necessary here and based on the line movement looks like we're going to need Friday's game. Because this summer is up from four and a half to six with the blue demons. No at home. Yeah. This is an interesting move. You know, I thought four and a half was fair number maybe even touch. Hi, I took you USF year plus six for one unit in the daily college basketball article so still go ahead and read that but see why why I had that one. But spoiler alert for that one little bit. You know, this is just a line grab for me. This is a USF team. That's very good on defense depaul team that hasn't really shown that they can beat quality teams by large margins and the ball has an injury question Mark as well. You know, this is a the poll team that isn't terribly deep. It's surprises me when you know, they've got Devon gauge questionable for this one. Looks like he's probably gonna miss this game. You know, depth is an issue for them. Like, I said, I don't I don't think that they have very high level talent to just step right in. I think this is more about the they have to win. You know, this is the whole we talk about it in college football. We talked about it in the NFL NBA every sport, you know, while they have to win. So, you know, this is the side you have to bet the Paul has to win this game that that doesn't necessarily mean they will. And it also doesn't mean that they'd win by seven points here. So I first of all I'd say that I like the best of three format here. I think it's pretty cool to have a unique college basketball setup here because you know, everybody just says one and done I think it's nice to have something a little bit different. And in this one. I you know, I would have thought if the line was reasonable. You know, it would've made sense to have to Paul if it was minus three or three and a half or something like that. But six is a big difference from that. And like, I said, you know, these games also get lower scoring as you go. And other thing I considered here with the under I still leading to the under here at one forty six one forty six and a half. This is you know, the two teams played pretty slowly a couple of nights ago, they did shoot fairly poorly. So you would expect they're shooting numbers to be a bit better than that. But you know, as we get later in these postseason tournaments, even the smaller ones, especially the smaller ones really have a ton of value on the over early on. And then the under has value late. I think the under cast in every game in in college basketball last night, at least on the opening number. So. Know the Green Bay in Texas southern game even went into overtime and opening number one on the under. So, you know, it's showing itself out, you know, the NFC has Madison Square Garden, which is definitely a benefit deandre. And then the other smaller tournaments have been so high that the numbers they put them out a bit higher than they should be when the game start meaning more. So to me in this one, you know, this number is just gotten awfully high. It's not so much that I think south Florida's gonna win the game just the price grab at plus six for me. This is it's interesting because south Florida's a team that has some pretty well defined home road splits here when you look at a team that's number one in the country and free throw rate. They are pretty dependant on getting those calls on you'll get them away from home or on neutral sites.."
