Anthony Blinken, Joel Rosenberg, Afghanistan discussed on The Ross Kaminsky Show
Seen a story yesterday, It was reported different ways in different places. But Typical headline was along the lines of State Department announces for Americans evacuated from Afghanistan And I just wanna make sure that we understand. What's going on here? I'm trying to think of a good analogy or at least a bad analogy for this and I'll give you one. Have you heard of the concept of stolen valor? This is where people claim. To have it typically received some kind of military honor. Bronze star, a Silver star, a Medal of honor or even just to have served in the military when they didn't they either didn't earn they weren't awarded. That that particular medal or ribbon or they didn't serve at all or they didn't serve the way there. They try to claim more. Valor than they are due. And that pisses off a lot of people in particular, the people who have actually either earned that kind of thing or done that kind of work or seeing the sacrifices made. By people who did that kind of work. And you're like, you know, why do you think You can get away with these claims. So let me go to this Fox News story. Here's the headline. State Department trying to steal credit for the rescue of four Americans from Afghanistan, the organizer of the effort says. It's a total lie. Let me just share a little of a story with you, the organizer of a private mission to rescue an American mom named Mario I'm in her three Children from Afghanistan, says the State Department is now trying to insert itself into the story of her evacuation, despite playing little to no role. For much of the rescue efforts, State Department officials announced yesterday. Quote the U. S. Has facilitated the safe departure of four U. S. Citizens by Overland route from Afghanistan. Embassy staff was present upon their arrival. End quote. But those actually involved in the dangerous rescue operation say the State Department deserves little or no credit for the escape. Corny mills and a private team of military veterans drawing on funding by private donors led the effort to rescue Mariam and her three Children where they had been left behind by the Biden administration. Confirmed by multiple sources to Fox News. Mills and his team worked for weeks to get the family out. After Texas Republican representative Ronnie Jackson. You may remember him as former Navy admiral who was president Trump's doctor at the White House alerted them to the family's plight. Mills's team first sought to get the family afford one of the last government flights out, but she couldn't get into the airport. The State Department urged them to go to the airport gate and they did what they were refused admission each time. The last time Mary I'm trying to go into the airport, a Taliban fighter, pointed out pistol of her head and warned her not to come back. Plan B was to get her and her family on a private charter. Adam Missouri, Sharif put the planes were never cleared to take off. Their final card to play was to travel overland to a neighboring country, which they are not naming. So that there could perhaps be future rescue missions that way and to get the family across the border, And eventually they got it done just before the Taliban closed the checkpoint to prevent Americans from getting out of Afghanistan. Mills says that the State Department's public posture about the rescue was absolute nonsense. Quoting here the fact that they're spinning this trying to take 100% credit when they didn't track this family when they placated this family when the mother was under extreme stress and extreme pressure, reached out to the State Department multiple times and got no help. So let's just make sure That we don't let the Biden administration, the State Department. This soft, spineless secretary of state we've got representing the United States right now, and Anthony Blinken, who might belong in some northeastern non Ivy League. Small leftist liberal arts college wearing a tweed jacket. That's where he belongs, rather than representing this country. Do not let these people take credit. When not only do they not deserve credit, but they were the cause of the problem to begin with. We right back with the incredible Joel Rosenberg..
