How much has changed in our lifetimes. That Moore has changed in the last fifty years and has changed in the thousand years before that pace of change seems to be getting quicker and quicker. Do you ever get tired of the pace of change. Do you ever think to yourself what I could just do it. Getting off the world for a moment and catching up catching my breath and catching up a little bit. Ah The pace of change today can make us feel like if everything's changing. Almost nothing standing still is moving at a faster. Doing foster pacing the prevailing culture of today is that we want bigger and better for me and for mine. Well it's our response. What's the salvation is response? Sometimes I think that salvation chaumet coal not this one of course their responses to retreat from the world to hide in citadels and to await. Jesus turn and let the change go on outside. There are some Salvation Army Corps who've become fortresses against against change inside of those core. They avoid the change. That's going on in the world and so those places has become places where nothing ever changes and woe betide the officer ever turns up and says what about moving the piano or a few chairs or how about if we change the times of the meetings. Paul says is the golden makes known to us the mystery of his will according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of all time to unite all things things in him things in heaven and things on earth in other words the whole universe is moving towards being united in Christ all things in heaven and all things asks on earth that's why the world is always changing. God wants change in our lives. He wants changing our core and he wants to change in the world around us but for that he needs ever-growing ever-changing disciples. You are God's change agents then in the world around us. We're going to think about that in the context of our passage this evening from Luke Chapter Ten Verses Twenty five to thirty seven is a very well known. Passage is the story of the Good Samaritan but I think it has something to say to us about the change that God wants in ourselves. Let's listen to these words.
