Is producing tonight's program. Oh, yeah. Coming up this hour. We're gonna talk to college football. College football playoff specifically. We'll talk about the tour de BULLDOGS ever upcoming match up against the. I told you take yellow jackets between the hedges is it should be. She kinda cool. Yeah. I'm excited about it. I'm definitely excited about it. Hey, listen in case, you didn't know. Just right quick. Let me just tell you this. There was some follow. From the Georgia BULLDOGS. Umass game this past weekend. Somebody got fired. That's right. You mass coach Mark Whipple. He got the axe after only. Well, I'm sorry. He got axed because Massachusetts they've only one. Sixteen games in six seasons. And they decided after this year's for eight record which I radically enough. It's the same as last year that they wanted to make a change and believe it or not this is the actual second time Whipple it actually coached UMass Yasser coach from one thousand nine hundred eighty two thousand three I don't know if you had a chance to watch the broadcast, but they actually had Chris Berman from former anchor at ESPN is now retired or semi retired things fully tire. But he's actually a very good friend of of mart Whipple. And I wonder if coach Whipple knew that it was getting ready to go down. And as a scientist support Chris Berman actually was on the scene here between the hedges with them just to kind of go through the experience with him. But listen you mass. I thought listen despite being you know, blowed out in the game against Georgia. I I thought they showed. Okay, right. I mean, we really. You weren't expecting you master to do anything, but their wide receiver Isabella was doing his thing against Georgia defense, and I know that had to cause a little bit of concern. I think the Georgia BULLDOGS yielded on defense a little more yardage than you would a suspected taking on a a much smaller lighter UMass team. So a little surprised about that. And what you might not want to be surprised that is that the Georgia Tech, yellow jackets are in my opinion, similarly, built right? The Georgia Tech yellow jackets for athletes are not ever football players are not as big as thick as rotund. As heavy is the Georgia ballplayers, Georgia take offense is based on a running attack. It's done with speed quickness pulling guards in. Angles is very very important. They cut your lot. They wreak havoc on your defense. If you are not playing discipline. If you're on the end man on the right or the left in there's no one that has outside contained if you're not outside container. They are going to exposure. In. It's all about how you read and react. In listen, I'm not a defensive coach, I've never played one on television. But I do remember when when playing football was always told me that if a team is going to run that option against you on a on a on a play by play basis will guess what? That quarterback is running quarterback. And so I need to I need to get my show MoMA pads on him. I need to lay my hands on. I need him to feel me every single time. He has that ball regardless if he keeps it or his pitches it he needs to take a shot. Well, of course, you can have the whole that rain down or, you know, watch how you do it in today's college football environment. But you know, what it seems though really in college football. We went more golden they actually do do in the pros either way on Saturday. It is going to be a fascinating contest between the Georgia BULLDOGS and Georgia Tech, yellow jackets. I don't know what the line is. But you can throw the lines of out of the way because you, and I both know that the Georgia Tech yellow jackets are definitely capable of beating the Georgia BULLDOGS. They have already during the. Kirby smart. Kirby smart. Would he call tenure if you will? And important thing in this game is going to be the wide receiver position something that. The Georgia BULLDOGS in my opinion, could definitely get better at plays a little bit better this year. We know Georgia Tech. We don't even throw the football. Hardly. But for Kirby smart. It's gonna talk a little bit about his wide receiver play right now. We have good balance in the room. And we have a great lottery Bill. Enjoy being Rancho that they love seeing each guy. Get the limelight different times. I mean Tyler had some big games early in the year we made some plays. And he's just now kind of getting back injury where he was out of whack for a little bit. And he's played well the last two two weeks, really? And he's played well in practice. I think each one of those guys has had a game where you'd say, oh, he's the guy. He's the guy. That's good to see. That's good to see Kirby smart talking about his wide receiver play Paul Johnson. Head coach of the Georgia Tech, yellow jackets. Well, you know, he gets tickled pink at the berry thought of knocking off the Georgia BULLDOGS. Coach Johnson lots of times we'll play that. Whoa. Is us, and we're the underdog, and you know, Georgia they've got going on there, the perennial. They're the they're the prohibitive favorite cetera. Mary loves playing that role. I don't know of Kirby. Mart is buying into that. I don't believe responders believing the hype. Here's Kirby smart talking about playing a Paul Johnson led team. It's always moving parts me. You're trying to adapt quicker than they do. And they do probably as good a job as anybody in the country at taking advantage of your weakness. When you have your doctorate you have somebody with a graduate degree, master's dot com. He's alway up there is this force. You could be in the in the option world. Oh, my goodness gracious. Wait a minute. I'm trying to figure out I've tried to say. Before we move on seven hours, you might need to replay that clip was he was Paul Johnson, pimp slapping was was Kurt Kirby smart, pimp slapping, the Paul Johnson led Georgia Tech program. I mean, can you just play together here to hear one more time? It's always moving parts you're trying to adapt quicker than they do. And they do probably as good a job it's anywhere in the country at taking advantage of your weakness. When you have your doctorate you have somebody with a graduate degree master's, doctorate him. He's all the way up there. His forces could be in the in the option world. Okay. All right. Okay. Okay. Okay. Will remix right there. Little remix lady Joan. Okay. So that no. That wasn't a backhanded jab because he basically said as far as running the option is concerned. Basically, Paul Johnson knows what the heck he's doing there. There's no question about that. I thought he's trying to say that you know, since all the kids. There are smart you have to, you know, have a special education to be able to run that office. That's what I thought he was saying, but chick myself on that it's ten minutes after the hour one here on sports radio ninety nine a game so excited that towards the bottom of the hour actually about one Ford. We're going to play some sound from Vince Dooley who whenever you had ever avenue opportunity here a legend an icon, like Vince, coach Vince Dooley. I mean, you got here. He has to say, I know he's going to have some special words about this upcoming matchup between the Georgia BULLDOGS. The Georgia Tech, yellow jackets. So I invite you to hang around and check that out. All right. I'll talk about the big elephant in the room. Okay. I will. I will. I will. I will in the Georgia UMass game. We are not particularly to see both quarterbacks. I'm talking about Jake from. As well as. Oh, lord. Justin fields. Right. And how did you feel about it? I thought that I mean. I thought I saw what I thought I was going to see as relates to Justin feels I thought he was on point. He can throw the rock. He showed poised he has a canon forearm. I'm trying to figure Lowry. No, I had my suspicions as to why. In the world with the Georgia BULLDOGS. Not let this young man. Throw that football. I think if be allowed him to throw that football down the field that it would. We would have created such chaos because the young man's talent is undeniable. I mean, you see he is clearly more talented than Jay. And that's not a knock on jayjay Franck. I mean, it's just is what it is. I fields clearly as more talented J D from and some might argue. Yeah. Well, it takes more than just talent to win. Okay. I get that. But if you're jape from wouldn't you couldn't you understand if somebody was just better than you when they got their opportunity, and I don't feel as though the Georgia BULLDOGS in my opinion. Wanted to even even go there. Now, Jake Frahm did as a freshman. Right. He was able to come in supplant Jacob visa. Does that not seem so long ago? It seems so long ago that were all anticipating the arrival of the second coming the savior of the Georgia BULLDOGS program and Jacob Easson. It's like we're waiting for couple years for him to graduate. So that they can come here. And then once he came here he spent a Cup of coffee here two seasons. Any was about here..
