Listen: Vegas Golden Knights, Mark Stone And Ovechkin discussed on Sports X Radio
"When we had the Stanley Cup finals in Las Vegas last year against the caps. And we all know how that turned out. Right. But the fact that they won game one, and it would have been nice if they won the Stanley Cup winning game one of the Stanley Cup finals to me was just unbelievable. The atmosphere was incredible. You can't beat it. But game one the regular season last year to me is is what ranks up there. This is right up there as well. I agree with you. The Vegas Golden Knights are proving that when they are five on five they are just by far the better hockey team. They are just a better team than the San Jose Sharks. And you know, guys like burns, you know, the, you know, you got a couple all stars on that team. No doubt about it. But they're just not good enough. And they're trying to win the physical. This team is different. They have they have an Ovechkin style difference maker and Mark stone with Mark stone. It's it's more of a two player. He's thought of as the best player in hockey. I don't know if he's that electrify from an offensive standpoint. Look, he's been absolutely spectacular last couple of games. No question. He's been the difference maker on that end of the ice. But around the NHL, we don't think of, you know, you don't think of Mark stone in that category of Ovechkin, but they're, but they're the fact of matter is for the Golden Knights. What's been keys? There's other pieces that have stepped up and starting to play at all"
