Pennsylvania, Steve Big, Bella discussed on Thoroughbred Racing Radio Network
The serious. Ports. Raises with Steve big. Raising and becoming ater views. This is with Steve. We're back at the races about fifteen into our three and terrific. Visit I that that's a topic the ridge link topic that is always worth having the discussion. And and you know, because I think people they wonder what the decision making process, and and how worthwhile it is. And of course, a couple of years ago that way I always reference way Lucas's comment saying, you know, the. If it was up to him he thinks that night at ten should be gelded right away. And you know, gives you the best chance maximize your your horses potential. But you know, we everybody everybody's hoping that they're going to get us now. Well, everybody also hopes that they're going to get a champion filly or champion mayor. And boy the last the last couple of years having a Pennsylvania bred filly or mare is a is a good formula because shamrock rose and unique Bala both unique Bella now two-time champion, and Brian San Fratello joins us, Brian, congratulations, everybody, Pennsylvania. What a what a great result. I thank Steve and good be on with you again today. Yeah. Unbelievable. We had champ. Rock rose read by best of luck form, Tommy and his wife. Lori fackler down a little bit above 'Akaola. He's a great guy. In fact, the break some forces for me and the second great one winner, and he the sprint. I mean, she came from from out of it to just get up in time to win and the eclipse award that she won for female sprinter was the third award in consecutive years for PA Brits, we had unique Bella win it last year the female sprinter category. And we had finest city when it in two thousand and sixteen so three years in a row for PA breads showing the, you know, the quality quality of them unique. Ballot. Did it again two years? Two years in. Ro and sprinter Lance to your and dirt third female this year. But again, just you know, showing you that the, you know, PA breads, not only can compete in Pennsylvania, but they compete anywhere anywhere in the world. I it's funny. Just inadvertently even even before I made the connection we were talking with sid Fernando during our our sire, watch Bennett refocus conversation brought by hill, and Dale and Hillen deals are mule came up, and there's there's another one that, you know, another Pennsylvania bread on the on the stallion side. And we we're having these discussions regularly Bryant, and there's there's obviously the benefit when it comes to the racing side. But what's what's the racing program and the stakes program and all that. But what what this what this does? And what it should do? You would think in people's minds is make them feel good about the bring up the farms, and where these you know, where these horses were were raised. That's a big. Part of it and one of the things that for many years. I think there were concerns by people, you know, buying horses that the outlying areas the regional programs that you didn't have the same level of care and level of expertise from on every level and getting multiple champions like this, frankly, it really speaks to that. And it shows that shows that the breeders and the personnel involved there on a par with the Kentucky and Florida, you know, in the biggest the biggest most populace breeding grounds in the country. Absolutely. We we have some fantastic forms here in Pennsylvania. You have Northview PA. You have diamond beef farm. They have Blackstone who who sells quite a few weanlings and yearlings for fantastic money along with racing someone their own so yeah. The quality of the form says, you know, has has really emerged in Pennsylvania, and and the and the standards that are here in Pennsylvania. You know last year we we brought in about nine or ten new stallions. I mean, we have pioneering of the Nile a medallion the Oro not for love any given Saturday. At tapping. A spike town looking at lucky Colonel, John? So so people from anywhere, you know, really can take a look at, you know, at the Stein's here along with our, you know, a regular Stein's that have done very well like your jump start and uptown, Charlie Brown and a few others gonna wind up. Forget something somebody if there's mention me. And I can understand that..
