UN, United States, David discussed on WMAL Talk

Al are you ready to take to the streets were full like Donny Deutsch, or do you even recognize the stereotypes that the left projects on conservative? Let's talk to David in Virginia, you're on WMA, David. David. My mother was Jewish and my father French-American Roman Catholic raised in household dedicated to the American intelligence suffered. And I'll tell you what if the Democrats think it's going to be a cakewalk. Have another coming. Specifically, the Jews are terrified. I know an awful lot of Jewish friends and little tips and the Catholics are terrified the Baptist. Are they don't want to be crucified by the bunch of leftists socialists communists, taking over the United States. This is the only nation where we can practice. Religion the freedom of religion. And they're trying to take it from us. Down rather in South Carolina in a movie theater? More Gibson's Christ once was played and as a war cry from one of the Baptists who got up instead of flogging, my Jesus, they're clogging my Jesus well each and every day, we say the only soldier basically letters out there fighting for religious freedom. Donald trump. The life form real coronation of Christ himself in. Gone a little far David now, look, the conservatives Republicans certainly are for religious freedom. I would not go so far as to say that Donald Trump is reincarnation of Jesus, but there is a definitive secular vein in the left and they have their own religion. It is government that is the way it works. And along those lines. I've got these two stories here. They're very well related. You might have heard about these. Climate strikes is what they're called throughout Europe. They highschool students are running around leaving school. They're all led by a sixteen year old Dutch girl Swedish girl named Greta fund Berg. She's she's done a Ted talk. She's got a lot of stuff out there on the internet. She's a little climate cultist. It's the end result. If these people are now coming of age, the people who have been thoroughly indoctrinated throughout all the education that this country offers, and they're coming into political power, Alexandria, Cortez is the first one I would say to actually obtain power who'd been thoroughly indoctrinated and never thought to question anything and just moved right along and bought it hook line, and sinker. She's the tip of the spear, but there's an entire shaft behind her and these teenagers are now being told that the planet is going to die and therefore they're going to die. If we don't. Adopt essentially, socialism, it's kind of weird because the co two emissions. CO two is not a pollutant without plant life would die which would be bad. But we're told that we're all going to die in twelve years. If we don't see our liberty. If we don't bring about economic, Justice and social Justice, racial, Justice and environmental Justice, and they just take every one of the policy issues that they've wanted to implement in the last fifty years and throwing the word Justice on it. They're starting to talk about healthcare Justice. Now, we're all going to die. If we don't see their power to to government. So along those lines of these climate crises of high school students marching out of their classes in Europe. They're bringing that here. There's an op-ed running is written by four sixteen year olds. It ran Friday the adults won't take climate change seriously. So we the youth are forced to strike, and you kind of feel bad for these kids because they really believe this. They believe that they may not well, they'll live to adulthood Kizer sixteen, but they won't get much of adulthood, and the idea of families is it's it's too late. There's no point in having children Alexandria of Cortez said as much a couple of weeks ago that well, you know, the world's coming to an end in twelve years. So I don't really see what the point is it moral to have kids, and these kids write this long op Ed about how they're bringing these climate strikes to the United States because Republicans will not institute a green new deal, which is it self funny because Mitch McConnell was is going to bring the green new deal up for a vote in the United States Senate and Democrats called it a stunt. They don't really wanna go on the record for some of the crazy things on in the green new deal. But this last paragraph is telling written by these four kits. We strike are because our world leaders haven't acknowledged prioritized or properly addressed the climate crisis. We strike because marginalized communities across the nation, especially communities of color and low income communities, you kids, they have degrees of victimhood. This is the concept. Intersection outy. But you gotta love the they have varying degrees of victimhood does, you know, the the the marginalized communities, but especially these so they're already marginalized, and then inside the so-called marginalized communities, they're marginalizing communities. Why because they're sick people. Are already disproportionately impacted by climate change these marginalized communities, especially minority communities because you know, New York City Washington DC they've flood regularly right there underwater because of the rising seas. We strike because of the societal order because if the societal order is disrupted by our refusal to attend school. Then influential adults will be forced to take note face the urgency of the climate crisis and enact change getting kids to skip school is just about the easiest thing you could possibly do. Hey, we're all walking out on school. All right. Let's do it. What are we doing it for about the order of things, but they're not gonna nobody's going to report on that? With our future at stake. We call for radical legislative action now to combat climate change, and it's countless detrimental effects on the American people. We strike the green new deal for a fair and just transition to a one hundred percent renewable economy. So if you can get to a renewable economy in a way that isn't fair and unjust that isn't fair and just maybe it favors some people like. I don't know the people who pay for it and invest in it, you're not for it renewable economy and stop creation of new fossil fuel infrastructure. We strike because we believe the climate crisis should be called what it really is a national emergency because we are running out of time. And I read that and then I saw this story from the Associated Press those kids, by the way, their childhood they're going to be really pissed off at somebody when they get onto the truth because a good chunk of their childhood was not spent having fun. A good chunk of their childhood was believing chicken little the sky is falling being exploited by adults in positions of trust. They're never going to get. They're not going to be sixteen again. They're not going to get your driver's license and your your balled up in a fetal position in your closet, 'cause you're afraid you're not going to drive a car 'cause you're destroying the planet. Then I saw this story from the Associated Press. And I thought my God, maybe they're onto something the United Nations. AP a senior u n environmental officials says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels, if global warming trend is not reversed and there's a little bit more to this lead sentence. But I'm going to hold off on it for just a second says. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of echo refugees, threatening political chaos said Noah Brown, director of the New York office of the UN Environment Program or U N E P. He said governments have a ten year. We don't even twelve years anymore said governments have a ten year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control, ten years was twelve. But now it's ten years before it's too late. As the warming melts polar ice ska- ice caps. Ocean levels will rise by three feet enough to cover the Maldives and other flat island nations. Brown told the Associated Press coastal regions will be inundated one sixth of Bangladesh could be flooded. Displacing a fourth of its ninety million people the fifth of Egypt's arable land in the Nile delta would be flooded cutting off its food supply. According to a joint UN and US Environmental Protection Agency study, quote, and this is serious. This is a government of the UN official ecological refugees will become a major concern. And what's worse is you may find that people can remove can move to drier ground, but that the soil and the natural resources may not support life Africa doesn't have to worry about land. But if you want to live, but. Who you wanna live in the Sahara? The UN estimates that it could cost the United States at least one hundred billion dollars to protect its east coast alone. It's horrifying horrifying devastating. And see. Why these kids are scared ten years, and then well, let's go back to that first sentence of this story. And I'm going to read the whole thing this time, and it'll give you a whole new perspective on this. A senior u n environmental officials says the entire nation could be wipe is that entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels, if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year two thousand don't done. Oh, yeah. The date on this story is June twenty ninth nineteen eighty nine. You see how did we di-? Did we become murder people in the year two thousand Alexandria, Cossio Cortez was born four months after this story was written. And she grew up swimming, the streets of New York or maybe just singing the same old song. So for thirty years. We've been told we only have ten years to do something. We're continually told we refuse to do. And yet none zero zip zilch of the consequences. Have actually come to pass. Like, I said when these kids realized that they were lied to that they were exploited and that part of their childhood was ripped off from them by liberal activists trying to exploit them for their own political gain. There's going to be hell to pay. We'll be right back..
