You don't sound like rick that's right on moderate guy robert burns sitting in for rick today thanks rick uh for allowing me the privilege of sitting in the chair he will be back here to morrogh right now we are following breaking news the senate has voted to end the shutdown here's what i've got from the hill dot com which is the newspaper of capitol hill the hill in my opinion generally plays a down the middle uh perhaps a little bit to the left by the senate democrats say are accepting a deal with senate majority leader mitch mcconnell for an immigration vote clearing the way for passage of a bill to reopen the federal government while i didn't take very long did it and i think we learned a few things including these these people can sometimes be as juvenile as middle scores having a back alley brawler of playground brawl a and i include you know they they called it the schumer shutdown i would agree with that and i think from what i'm seeing uh the president one on this because i think they got out they didn't they hit the republicans handled this differently than they have handled previous government shutdowns what did you think were you affected is your life back to normal i your breathing a little bit easier five two nine 101 seven upstate downstate eight three nine 105 nine here's a one of the things that struck me is they were talking about laying off quote non is central government employees well commie nutty buddy's and i and i know i'm not the first one to have this thought if you're nonessential why am i paying you you know why why you there shouldn't isn't it time an heats it's a bit of a rhetorical question but you pay for us you pay for it you do i do all the taxpayers are you willing to keep paying for all of us nonessential stuff five two nine 101 seven upstate eight three nine one o5 down stay.
