We launched in may which feels like yesterday over half a million all time listens. Yes. We are doing quite well. Yeah. Well, over half a million runaway to a million thanks to all of you. But this is just because we're like you. We wanna take vacation. We're doing a best of episode. Why not right? So basically means I work and no one else does we'll be swimming on the floating in the pool while Mike works exactly I like working girl that noise. Yeah. So I am excited about this episode. We've gathered the best of twenty eighteen so we've got everything that you'd want that you know, that we brought you earlier in the year is going to be in one place. And it's in this episode. So swapping is what I've been doing forever. I feel like I've been swapping things since I was born practically you came out of the womb swapping left and Wapping Salah was dropping so. Yeah. I mean, it's a really big part of the podcast, right? We swap all the time. But what our best ever swaps of twenty eighteen. I think I know you've do know because you're. I swap first up. There's a baking swap that I love, and it is I wish we had a drum roll, canned, pumpkin. This is a good one can pumpkin people know how to use this. I don't know if people know how to use this. I think hungry fans do so the thing is I use it instead of eggs or oil and my favorite use of canned, pumpkin. It's something we've been doing for a bazillion years is just using one box of cake mix and one can of pumpkin. And then you bake it up to make a cake or a little muffins out of it. And it's phenomenal and ups the fiber. You don't have you don't need eggs or oil or butter or anything. So I think the trick is to it's really thick batter. So you probably burn some calories by stirring that batter and trying to get at uniform the best so good. Yeah. I know. Me, and you know, you can use pumpkin. And almost anything. I mix it with marinara sauce to make like a thicker awesome, like tomato sauce with fiber. It's good Mike don't make faces. You've probably eaten it over the years. I know the pumpkin the brownies with pumpkin Jamie like that was one of the first thing she made for me when she started working here. It's still a staple like it's so good in my family request. Every time every family event can make the brownies never get old. And then pumpkin is just a great ingredient. Anyway, throw it in oatmeal. And if you open a can, and you don't want to use the whole can you can freeze it in an ice cube tray and save it for later. It's just a great swap all around. So pumpkin deserves applause. Yes. We love pumpkin. People always ask me is gonna taste like, pumpkin. Though. It doesn't taste is chocolate. That's all I taste, but I like pumpkin anyway. And it's so popular with good reason when we first started using pumpkin. It was not popular it wasn't now. It's all the rage. Okay. Next up. This some people might think this is a weird one. But a great swap for bread. It's actually cucumbers cucumbers. I don't know about this. Again, my giving me the evil eye cucumbers can be used instead of bread, especially if you're making subs. So you get I like to use the big giant cucumbers. You slice them in half. You scoop out the seeds? Okay. You getting it. Now, the the shape. Yup. And then you top it with your favorite deli meats Turkey ham. Whatever little bit of cheese, if you want mustard some tomato some lettuce, you close it up. You have a giant sub without the bread. I love it. So it's kinda like when we make zucchini boats. It's like the same concept that you've met this cold crispy crunchy sandwich. Jen exactly could you turn. It looks like a sandwich it always wild people. So it's definitely one that I love you can also wrap the deli meats around the cucumber too. That's a whole other thing deal. It's because it's easier. You want the no the no frills easy.."
