A new story from The Rich Eisen Show

Radio, great to see you again with the video component, Stanley Cup central on YouTube. I appreciate you taking the time and enjoy the game tonight. Thanks so much for having me on, Brian, I really appreciate it. Take care of yourself and enjoy the rest of the playoffs. My pleasure, Pierre McGuire. Remember him for years and TNT is doing a very nice job. Now, here is now Brian Weber media critic, Wayne Gretzky is there because he's weighing Gretzky and Kenny Albert is a terrific broadcaster, but they'll never be another Mike emmerich. Mike emmerich, if you paid attention, had the most phenomenal use of descriptive terms and adjectives as a play by play man in any sport. Now, his nickname was Doc because he had a PhD. He was that bright. And Mike was a craftsman and I love the coverage on NBC because of the dynamic between Mike and the old Jack Pierre down on the ice. Turner's doing a great job. And maybe this is a little too inside media, but I really do love hockey, haven't been a part of it professionally in 20 years since I was intermission also in San Jose sharks. That was a thrill of a lifetime because in that era, I'm in my late 20s, 15 years before ten years before I'm watching Gretzky and ray Borg, and now I'm standing next to him talking to them. Check out all the action. It'll be a game three tonight in Florida, Panthers with a two O series lead as we discussed thanks to the brilliance of Matthew kuchuk in OT, both those wins coming on the road, and we had two quality conversations. As I crank up the self promotion machine, really appreciate Pierre taking the time and hopefully if you noticed, I didn't do a half hour on hockey. That was concise, but I thought filled with insight. The last hour we took across the NBA with my pal Kurt healin, lead NBA writer for NBC sports. A lot more NBA coming up tomorrow. Will the brooms be out in Southern California? Don't think so. Not only because I'm based here and I don't drive around with a Laker flag, as I've mentioned a hundred times, I'm originally from New York. I know you can't tell, right? To my delivery, Lakers have been in all three of these games. If you're a Laker, blind. Slavishly devoted huh, you're gonna tell me. They should be up to one. It could be three oh. LeBron hits that shot down three with a minute to go and game one. Lakers show up tonight, so the series will extend, but we know unlike hockey, nobody's ever come back from a three zero deficit, so we'll spend some more time tomorrow with early preview thoughts on Miami and Denver in the NBA Finals. Tom Brady's back in the news. Gotta find out by joining me tomorrow. First and foremost, best wishes to the team. Tonight, bring home at least one sports Emmy, if not two, wanna thank rich eisen, Bruce Gilbert all the good people at Westwood one. My pal and our outstanding technical producer, art Martinez. I'm Brian Weber will do it again tomorrow on the rich eisen show. You love Lala canton on Vanderpump rules. Now get to know her on give them Lala. With her assistant Jess. What you did not see is when Raquel arrives and she wants to talk to me. I made her sit in a corner. Explain a corner booth all by herself in the dark. Waiting for to talk to you. Waiting for me to finish dancing to 50 cent. It's my birthday. Sit in the corner. Give them Lala, wherever you listen.
