Listen: Senator Kamala Harris, Barack Hussein Obama, Senator Harris discussed on NBC 4 News at 6
"Obama cannot be an anomaly. We must have someone at the party who is who was black. I here's how this is playing out. And I it actually has to be feeling sorry for. Kamala harris. Because she is being seen as not black enough. To be the top of the ticket. And this is from black Democrats. Now, you could say the same thing about Barack Obama. He went through the same black test. But here's the difference. Barack Obama whose father was from king. John whose mother was from from Kansas, and who grew up on the outskirts of society in Hawaii. Married. A black woman. A woman who the Democrats said had slave blood. A woman who was down for the struggle who experienced the struggle. So that innocence legitimize Barack Hussein Obama. But Kamala Harris. She's a. She's different because her mother is from like India and her father is from Jamaica. And her father went off on her for for playing into the stereotype that either all Jamaica smoke weed what he said that her grandmother turning over in their grave because of the way that she continues to perpetuate the stereotype. But with all of that and even though. Senator Harris self identifies as someone who is black Senator Harris went to historic black college. I believe she was part of sorority. Here's where she's in trouble. She's married to a white, man. She's being called out for not being black enough. To me is absolutely crazy. But this is a hurdle that Senator Kamala Harris is going to have to overcome. This term identity politics people will use that term. It's like people used to talk about the race car. Right. And they'll bring this term up when you talk about as soon as that are about race about sexual orientation about religion. They'll bring it up when we're talking about civil rights issues as a way to marginalize issue as a way to frankly, try to silence who set you up. We need to call that what it is which is to try and divert away from a conversation that needs to happen in America.."
