The Newport Plaza is closed right now, as police investigate an officer involved shooting that happened this morning about five o'clock. Police tried to stop a gray sedan on Kentucky 18 the driver, refusing to pull over and led cops on a they say about a 20 mile chase by 75, the driver ending up at that Newport Plaza. That's when police say the shooting took place. The suspect went to the hospital. That's all we're being told. So far. There's a heavy police presence there. Multiple agencies involved in Kentucky State police leading that investigation. A young shooting victim in Cincinnati, remembered now with a street named in her memory in 2015, Robin Pearl. The second was just 18 years old when she was shot and killed in North Avondale while sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle. Was city leaders, saying she was an innocent victim of gun violence. On Saturday, a stretch of Burton Avenue the street where she died, was named after her.
