Listen: Valentino Valentini, Valentino Rossi, Hori Lorenzo discussed on Motor Sport Magazine Podcast
"Who finished with them what a couple of tents the lead, and even with Valentino Valentini was right there intil the last corny believe we ran wide, and he and or he would have finished within a second of lead. That was certainly. An improvement and that showcased itself perfectly in the last round in Australia where maverick finale came from what tenth on the first lap came through and manage the race perfectly. And got that got that first win of for the season for him on YoM on obviously even longer backed than that back in from last year. So Valentino Rossi was right there, but he really hadn't shown what he could do yet. And even though he was he was what in the top three up until he faded faded right there in the rice in Australia. So there was a lot of hope I guess you could say going into the race weekend. And as I said before remember couple shows ago talked about how that when a bike struggles and win certainly the basic overall morale. The team is is down. It puts even more emphasis on the riders. Positive mindset because you maybe don't put yourself in a position to be able to have a better result or the best result as you possibly can because expectation levels of it down. And so I believe I really believe that going into this weekend after Mavericks win last weekend that showed Valentino even you know, that that the performance certainly is there, and when you teammate does it it's it can be a positive inspiration for for the teammate the other teammate to know that hey, you know, for put himself in position maybe I can win a race in also now let's before we get into the race. Let's let's talk about the other other teams starting off with do Coty and Hori Lorenzo, and some people might have wondered, you know, why would he not or put himself in position to go there? If he wasn't a hundred percent. Sure that it could raise. Well, he's sometimes just don't know. And and as a writer, you you can't believe that you can overcome it that if you got on the bike, and and get the drilling going that there's a possibility that you can get the job done and for him. It's it's more than just finishing the season off on the cadi. There could be some other issues. Whether it's financial or or situations with team, we don't know only hoary and do cutting know about that. But I think also there was the fact that he wanted to finish if he could. Get some laps in before he makes transition on the Tuesday after Valencia on the Honda, and and not certainly can understand that. But you could see when he was leaving the garage on Friday that he could hardly get the motorcycle. Steered added the garage turn leaving pit lane. So it they're just really as it turned out, no opportunity, no chance. So Michaela Pero. Would fill in for him beginning on Saturday. It was interesting though, there was there certainly some words I guess afterwards over Twitter between dove and and whore. Hey that has seemed to kind of festered within that team. And certainly there was some friction there. I think it's been going on for quite a few years that anyway won't be the case after the season because it'd be on on separate teams. The Honda going into this weekend. I think for Mark in them just mainly to make up kinda, you know, they had the great run. Obviously in Japan, wrapped up the world championship had the near close. Call between him and you'll and Sarko at the start of the Australian Grand Prix that as it turned out. Thank goodness. We said, and is there one knows go on was okay? At at that high after that high speed crash, and then Mark was very fortunate that he didn't go down. So you know, going in obviously for him.."
