Listen: Marc Jacobs, New York City, Laurie discussed on Lori and Julia
"Oh, so happy to be with you. Julius mytalk brother, seven one, everything entertainment. What's coming up? That's all you got nothing. I know it happens from giving away today. Well, we've already given away the tickets to the musical once. And so that means before the end of the show today. We'll give away a pair of tickets to fashion. Aria that will be Wednesday October third. We'll let you know when they give me feet shingle claim those well, speaking of fashion, so it's been near crash and the closed last night. And I don't know how long Marc Jacobs has traditionally been the last closing. He's been the the last show for at least ten years. Okay. Maybe more, but he's been the Marc Jacobs shows has closed New York fashion week. So last night. Marc Jacobs brought the drama in more ways than one because apparently the show was beyond fabulous amazing. What he show really? Yeah. Exciting. He has always those started on time very on time. Right. And in February Cardi B held up the Marc Jacobs show for a mere like maybe seconds, and it felt scandalous as she made her way very slowly as watches were tapped her front row seat on last night at the Park Avenue. Armory Marc Jacobs show started one hour and twenty six minutes late be so upset tend to wake 'cause those rooms are so hot people stayed some people laughed one person said she had a plane to catch to London because fashioned fashion week starts there. And before rival the people had been warned that the show would be definitely a half hour late. So and then time stretched even further. Nicki Menaj was there Emily Radic hausky with her breasts covered. She usually doesn't have people. Sorry. For whoever is sitting next to Kurt to Nicki Menaj because her dress was very big or something. Yeah. Almost like Elizabethan word spread out on the sides. And anyway, so at one hour and twenty four minutes and a winter the most powerful person in fashion, and who is obviously much busier than anyone else and certainly more important cuisine being guided back to her seat by security, and the only thing that this fashion observer could come up there's two things the prevalence story is that he was deliberately trying to steal as she did her fantasy lingerie show in Brooklyn. Which started after his Gus and serving him being the last show, but this fashion person of the Daily Beast said it probably has something to do with the outfit which turned out to be madly elaborate and beautiful a stitch coming loose, and any of these amazing constructions would have made for a last minute sewing design. Sure, and I guess Laurie. I know I know. Okay. But Laurie I'm watching the show right now. I wish I could pause. The video. There is a woman walking out with blue mosquito netting tied up into a bon- a short sleeve grace. No, this is a funny one goes to lake her underwear line. Yeah. And then she's wearing nothing. Yeah. It's a fashion show. Do right now is not going to be Monique Lulea was not going to be avant garde like Marc Jacobs. But I guess it was obvious. There was a little bit of an exodus of people who left midway through the show who were obviously going to the other shell downtown Brooklyn and debris, Anna one. Yeah. Because that's big name competition. Her Fendi show was to start at Brooklyn in seven thirty at seven thirty at seven thirty. And so any way are they the Daily Beast wondered are Mark Jacobson riana the Bethany and Carol. Fashion designers. Recall. So anyway, but the irony of the drama is that the craze fever dream. It was valley of the dolls meets. Nineteen eighties clubs clubs Steph. What people wearing in London and New York were dressing up was deadly serious play. So they said if you like bubbles demented costuming, an absolutely fabulous. This was the show for you. Because it was fashion as performance art and ruffles within ruffles and frocks that were less Foxton just construction. The most giants so flowers rate in people's faces. Yeah, they all warmer ski donating. Yeah. As as their Laurie. There is something in this show. I will give you the color theme is chartreuse Heraldo. You know that? Artists birth stone. And it is kind of a sad. It's a sad. So now, he's felt left out. If people had the ruby. Yeah. The lime green Danny. It's a girls thing that usually wears it though. Green. Yeah. It's not even green and emerald would be perfect. It's it's a pale thing. And so back when we were growing up it used to be always kind of a thing to get your bursts on. And I'm like, why do I wanted to Vermont? Yeah. Prettier because I really June because I think June was like gar. Amazon. But it's just kind of funny. Oh, gosh. This fashion shows hysterical. You can just go watch it at Marc Jacobs. But people that were leaving the reviews on it were fabulous. Like they loved how over the tide is so over the top. Yep. I know I know and then just speaking of over the top. I do love this headline share said that she were five pounds of makeup to look young and beautiful mama Mia. It's in October issue, attitude magazines. She just said the director really liked me. He express care to light me. And that has a lot to do with it. And she said it was really five pounds of makeup. That's how I look so good. Oh, my I love she's being honest. She is being on. I hear that playboy is only going to be published four times a year now. Yes. In playboy opened a club in New York City. Interesting. So weird. The timing seems odd. With the metoo in everything and Quentin Tarantino's once upon a time in Hollywood is filming at the playboy mansion where she would be any movie that would be said period. Period would have been there would have been happenings at the playboy opening a co-op. Yeah. It opened on Wednesday night in New York City at five twelve west forty second street, Robin Thicke was the entertainment. And. Yeah. So yeah. And so I don't know who is asking for it. But they decided it was time to dig up the old ancient relic from the past the old playboy club with two playboy bunnies. Waiting on. You. That does and what they're doing. And maybe there here's what they're trying to do. They're trying to make the playboy club be like a SoHo club right where it's going to be a private, right? Yeah. People have to pay membership, and you can only get it. And if you're in the arts, and entertainment, or whatever. Ios CFO CMO seems like odd timing dot -pletely coinciding with their we're just doing for issues. Yeah. This is a membership club. It of course, it is. You knew it would be. Yeah. Yeah. He actually all right. Listen, we come back. It is time for random thoughts. Alexis in the morning, it's the birthday prank. Your wife is very organized, and you guys are having a garage sale. Right. He is planning this thing. Like, a mother would plant her daughter's wedding Heather and cooling today from the city. I don't know if you are aware, but are in twenty new grog sale talks out owed that automatically goes to the city. Confront? Any form? Commend hip jersey, special garage sale software or out that you can get from the city that you will have to keep track. I'm just looking. Normal. Oh business with the cash. Register I never would've anyone ever having a garage impact people do garage sales and yard kill all the time. Hey, Sean, why don't you talk to your life and tell her, hey, Heather you've been birthday pranked? Birthday prankings with jase and dawn, but not Alexis because she's bad lying to people Wednesday mornings at seven twenty on mytalk one zero seven one. Hey, everybody. It's Laurie."
