Tech Guy. All Right Mike be says no. No no no no. So what's the answer? Might be? Tell me the answer. He Says No. No no no so keep listening because maybe our chat room is GonNa fix it might be. I don't have high hopes but maybe might be convicted. No He's just said Oh he's saying is no not anything else so I don't know honestly I would get a new email provider and a new email program. The Mayo program that comes with the MAC is excellent. I strongly recommend that Mike. That's only if he's using oh he's using AOL AOL US exchange. I I'm thinking it's not. It's that it's I'm APP. I mean not. I'm at that it's pop because it's so old. What is it ladies and gentlemen I give you hipster? You don't have a pony tail back there do you. Scott will tell us to. That's close enough. He is hip. He is Scott Wilkinson. Our Home Theater Geek on the tech show joins US every week. Tributary Tech High Dot Com. Hello Scott Hey Leo. Happy Saturday to be Saturday. So there is a new projector technology. I've never heard of in town. Actually you have. Oh well know. Dlp and I know LCD. Well this is. This is not a projector technology like that. It's called You S. T. Ultra short throw. Oh I have a US t you have us. So you're right. I knew I knew about it because I has one adjusted for me. You you calibrated it for him calibrated. That's exactly right. I love that you that. Us Ultra Short. Throw right and we as as you know. Ultra short throw. Projector is a box that you put up right up against the wall not right up against pretty close like six or eight inches away. Yeah exactly and it shoots projector light up at a steep angle and it hits the screen and then that's that light reflects out into the viewing area and you see a projected image. It's not a projector across the room. Where you know you might step in front of the beam and cast a shadow and everybody says hey out in front and you don't in most cases you don't even need a dark room because the screen is a special type of screen called an ambient light rejecting screen. That's kind of the downside of this. You can't just use any old screen. You have to have a screen right correct correct. That's correct those ain't cheap. No they're not but ultra short. Throw U. S. T. Projectors I would say you can get a good one in the three thousand thirty five hundred dollar range an a good hundred inch. Us T screen is going to be upwards of like maybe a thousand dollars so you're four or five thousand dollar four forty five hundred dollars into it but you said the key thing to me a hundred inch yeah if you were one hundred inch TV for exactly. It's the only way you can get a giant screen like ads right. That's exactly right now. I wanted to point out to everybody. That I just On Friday or so. They of a website called projector. Central Dot Com just posted a big section a whole section U. S. T. projectors including an article on US T. screens written by yours. Truly so I love yours truly he I o every time he reads a right story. I'll read it because he's good and I talked about all this stuff. You know the type of screen that it is how it works. It's like a it's like a it is it is. It's amazing. Actually the screen the front of the screen. The surface of the screen is covered by microscopically thin little ridges and these ridges `red are designed in such a way that they they see light coming up from below where the US T. Projectors sitting and they reflect it straight back out right. It's weird. It's weird now. Is worried about dusting. Like you don't want to you. Don't want to put any pressure on a little feather duster because those ridges do catch dust. Yes they do. That's true it's a very strange technology but I have to say I love it because I have one hundred inch screen at home really fun. It's not the other thing. Is the downside. Besides cost is not as bright correct. It's certainly not as bright. And no projectors no. No projector is not as bright as a flat panel. Tv right but you know a ninety eight inch flat panel. Tv is going to cost you. Sixty thousand dollars right and one hundred inch micro led and I saw some micro dis at CBS last year. Our earlier so beautiful this they were so beautiful and they're very bright but you're talking six figures yeah So you know. Unless you're in the top point one percent you're not going to buy that You're GONNA and a an ultra short throw. Projector is going to do. Just fine and again it can be seen perfectly well in a room with ambient lights. You can put it in your living room or your rec room or your rumpus room. Yeah you have a rumpus room because then we could have a rumpus rumpus exactly. Yeah but you could put these things in. You don't have to have a dedicated home theater with with most long throw projectors you can get an. Al Are ambient light rejecting screen for a long. Throw projector that is a projector across the room and that will help certainly so those are writer in brighter environments. Those look better correct but the short throw screen doesn't have that feature or can have that it. Does it okay? So that's nice so so short. Throw screen wheeled perform better in a room. That's not as dark then register painted wall or a regular. Oh Man don't WanNa painted wall by special pain you can't you? Can't you? Might reflective crystals in. It makes it brighter. But it doesn't do that..
