Netflix will spend $100 million to improve diversity on film following equity study


Netflix is looking to close diversity gaps at its content. Following an equity study, Matt Matt Johnson explains the study not only delves into the diversity of its on screen performers. It also looks at that of the creator's producers, writers and directors. The company says it's not in an improvement in representation from 2018 to 2019. However, they say there is still work to be done. One of the ways Netflix is addressing the issue is by creating the fund for Creative Equity, which will spend $100 million to help underrepresented groups find TV and film
