Limited reopening of Los Angeles County elementary schools allowed if waivers are approved


A unanimous vote by the L. A County Board of Supervisors enables elementary schools to begin applying for waivers to reopen for in person learning. The board directed the Public Health Department to implement the school waiver program for grades T K through to prioritizing schools with higher percentages of low income students. They're starting with the cap of 30 schools per week board chair supervisor Katherine Barker. This would allow us provide limited in person instruction.
