Senate speeds up confirmation vote for intelligence director

S. intelligence community a confirmation vote on the nomination of representative John Ratcliffe to be director of national intelligence has been fast tracked in the Senate the voters coming Thursday Radcliffe who sits on the house intelligence judiciary and ethics committees was a member of president Donald trump's impeachment advisory team last fall while Senate Democrats are expected to vote against Radcliffe however with members of both parties wanting a Senate confirmed nominee on the job Democrats are not objecting to a quick vote before senators leave town the Senate will not be in session next week Mike Rossio Washington
