Federal prosecutors are still recommending substantial prison time for President Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen when he sentenced next week in New York Cohen pleaded guilty to federal charges and cooperated and multiple state and federal investigations, including the special counsels Russia probe NPR's Ryan Lucas has this update the US attorney's office in New York. It's filing. Is related to Cohen's guilty plea to financial crimes campaign finance violations committed in New York. This filing is not good news for Cohen. Prosecutors say that he committed at least four serious crimes they say he was motivated by personal greed, and they reject Coen's appeal for leniency from the judge Cohen had been asking for time served. Prosecutors in New York say Nope, we're not game with that. They are asking for Cohen to get from four to five years in prison. Jenny Hamill has more starting next month. All sergeants working the overnight shift in state prisons will carry the drug naloxone. A spokesman was San Quentin state prison told the Associated Press that these sergeants often act as first responders when medical workers aren't as readily available. But this decision was made before the recent overdoses on death row. And now attorneys representing the state's inmates wanna go further they're asking for prison guards. And even the inmate. It's themselves to carry the overdose reversing inhaler the lawyers argued that in the lock zone can easily be bought an inmates.
