Listen: Baker Mayfield, Russell Wilson And Saints discussed on CBS Sports Radio
"And I'm getting more point to keep in mind. Two things. One Antonio Calloway. Former hot boy had a seventy five yard touchdown callback and two. Former hop boy Antonio Calloway fumbled on the one yard line which would have been another passing touchdown for Baker Mayfield. So Mayfield ended up getting me fifteen point eight points threw for three hundred ninety seven yards for three the three picks her because he was minus two at the half. But he accrued so many passing yards in the second half. He actually inched ahead of keenum who only ended up with like twelve points, it ended up actually being the right place. So this is where I am with generally like week to week speaking, I think you should not just play it safe. But my logic is player guys. Right. You know, which guys there are good. You can take the risk maybe your flex spotter when injuries happened or when bio Eastone, but just play your guys when you get to the fantasy playoffs. I've a little more lenient as far as you want to go to the guy with the highest ceiling here, especially because Monday, you'll have. What Russell on Monday night game. I think Monday against the Vikings on Monday against the Vikings. Vikings defense while it has taken a huge step back this year. My thought on Russell Wilson is this. He's in the only offense that runs the ball more attempts per game. Then passes the ball per game. Right. Russell Wilson did throw four touchdowns this past weekend against the forty Niners and did not crest two hundred yards passing. My thought is unless you're going to get that kind of production, and I feel like you probably won't against the Vikings. The higher ceiling player here is going to be Baker Mayfield. And while Carolina's desperate Carolina needs to come out and get a win. If the Browns are down they're going to be given the ball here. So I don't feel good about Baker this weekend at home against Carolina. All right. And then any consideration of Jameis Winston at home versus the saints and not that this matters for diddly poo. But y'all who actually has his point projection higher than any of them by by a fair amount? Actually, they they got him projected at twenty seven basically twenty six point nine seven bakers projected at twenty point two five Russell at eighteen point five three in our league. Yeah. That's I mean. I know I know it scares me. And here's the like, you just don't know if you're gonna throw two picks, and they say, hey, you know, what you're going to sit down. No like, I don't see that happening. They're gonna play him out because he's in a contract year here they need to decide what they're going to do with him beyond this season. So I'd expect him to play probably the duration of this game. The saints looking to bounce back to so since on the road could be a different thing. I don't know what to make of the saints defense. They were red hot for about six seven weeks there last couple of weeks. They haven't been great. And James, you just don't know who's gonna show up. I'm still sticking. Our is your is your decision between him and Baker. Well, yeah. I mean, any one of the three and a half of them and let me and let me throw in this to in my main league, Adam Copeland. I have a quandary where it's either Baker Mayfield or Mitchell Trubisky now Trubisky playing at home against the Rams on Sunday night football. Now, he's coming off the injury. So that's why it'd be a little leery. But that has shootout potential written all over it.."
