Listen: Rockies, Airman Marquez And Padres discussed on PrimeTime Sports with Cory Lopez
"Special edition as we get set for another game on the west coast. This time the Rockies are at the Padres tonight. I two at Petco park, and we'll take your right up until Rockies on debt with Jack Corrigan, Jerry Schimmel and Jesse Thomas at seven thirty Mike rice with you on Rockies countdown tonight. What a way to stop an eight game losing streak yesterday. Airman Marquez was just about perfect. He threw a complete game one hitter in that four nothing win over the giants house this pitching line nine innings. One hit no walks nine strikeouts. He did hit a man as well. Kevin pillar was the first base runner the game leading off the bottom of the six that after Marquez had retired the first fifteen San Francisco Giants to come to the plate. He was just absolute. -olutely dominating and the Rockies needed it so badly getting back on the winning track after that long losing streak. Maybe now they can all just exhale and play like, I think most of us are perhaps all of us know that they can this is still a very good baseball team that I think will be very good by the time the year, ends and the standings. I think will reflect that. But there's no doubt the last ten days to two weeks has been trying. It's been frustrating. It's been challenging and yet the Rockies are able to get a win yesterday. Now, let's see if they can string a couple of wins. Together, they go after the Padres who are off to a tremendous start going to be a lot of fun to see how they match up tonight and tomorrow at Petco park in San Diego got a good show for you planned here as we get you to seven thirty and the start of Rockies on deck with the guys in San Diego. We're gonna listen back to some of the big moments from yesterday's dominating performance by Marquez are terrific executive producer. Jesse thomas? Put together a montage of highlights from airman Marquez. We'll get to that here in just a few moments. We're also gonna listen back to Jerry Schemmel's interview with GM Jeff -british, Jerry talks with the Rockies GM every Saturday an hour before first pitch that's on Rockies all access and we're going to take a listen back to that interview as well tonight.
