Paul Hornung, a Hall of Fame running back who starred for Notre Dame and the Green Bay Packers, has died at age 84.


Paul Horning has died, The Louisville Sports Commission announced he passed away at the age of 84 following a battle with dementia. Horning was drafted with the first overall pick in 1957 by the Green Bay Packers after winning the Heisman Trophy and Notre Dame the year prior, he helped guide the Packers to four NFL championships and a win in the first ever Super Bowl in 1967.
