2 injured in car crash into statue at Washington DC’s Lincoln Park

Two people are seriously hurt after the car rolled over and hit a statue in Capitol Hill's Lincoln Park that has a lot of controversy surrounding it. Park police say one of the victims had to be freed from the car by firefighters. This happened at the Emancipation or Friedman's memorial. It became the center of controversy over the summer because it illustrates President Abraham Lincoln standing over a freed slave. The W T O P Traffic center was first to report the rollover crash at about 5 40 this morning. No word yet on what caused it.
