California Confirms First Case of Plague in 5 Years


California health officials have confirmed the first case of the plague in the state. In five years. It's California get plagues. Every now and then the South Lake Tahoe resident too may have been bitten and infected by a flee while walking a dog. Eldorado County officials said they were informed about the infection by the California Department of Health. The patient who's recovering at home was walking along the Truckee River corridor. They said if detected early, the deadly owners can be effectively treated with antibiotics.
