New York City police officer who shoved protester charged with assault


An NYPD cop accused of shoving a George Floyd protester to the ground in Brooklyn last month is facing assault charges as another officer involved in a similar incident is being investigated Jennifer Appel Sony files this report authorities say officer Vincent de Andrea of the seventy third precinct in Brownsville being arraigned on assault criminal mischief harassment and menacing charges the twenty eight year old officer was caught on video pushing a twenty year old protester to the ground near the Barclay center back on may twenty ninth the woman says she suffered a seizure after that fall meantime another police officer has been placed on modified duty for striking a protester in Brooklyn on may twenty ninth the same day by opening the door of an unmarked police
