US executes Louisiana truck driver who killed daughter, 2


Long haul truck driver is expected to be put to death tonight by the federal government for killing his daughter in southeast Texas. Alfred Bourgeois was put on death row after federal prosecutors say he smashed the two year olds head into a truck window at Naval Air Station, Corpus Christi. His attorneys want the Supreme Court to stop the execution, saying he's mentally disabled. The Justice Department says the lower court's already rejected that mental disability claim. They also say he beat his daughter regularly when she stayed with him in his home state of Louisiana.
