The NASA minute. With Kevin mason. Every year on Saint Patrick's Day, I don't think green beer, I think corned beef. And when my mind goes to corned beef, it goes to a Ruben sandwich. I know I've talked about this before. It's been a few years though, that search for a good Reuben sandwich here in Nashville. I mean, it's sad when Arby's does their room in every so often. And I think about going and buying one. And I usually buy one during their season when they've got the Reuben. It's never that good. But Rubens are just so hard to find in the south. As we all know what corn beef may be something celebrated in Ireland or in the UK, the Reuben sandwich a cousin to the corned beef sandwich is really an American creation. When you add the sauerkraut and a thousand island dressing or the Russian dressing or however, you make yours. I think it was created in Nebraska back in the 20s or 30s. It's an American creation. It's an American sandwich, and I don't know why I love a Reuben so much. I don't know how long it's been since I first had one, probably going back to the 1970s, maybe. I'll keep searching every day as he went on a menu and all of these try at once, but sadly, the search for a good Reuben continues.
