Los Angeles COVID-19 deaths, hospitalizations inch up as vaccinations begin

Public health officials have confirmed more than 100,000 new cases in just the last week. Hospitals have run out of intensive care beds for the sickest coronavirus patients across Southern California that's required some to be treated in non ICU beds. With the number of deaths approaching 9000 in L. A county officials are in a rush to deliver the vaccine to its health care workers. The goal is for 10,000 vaccinations by the end of the year.
