Rains in S. Korea turn Seoul's roads to rivers, leave 8 dead


Heavy rain has drenched South Korea's capital region leaving at least 8 people dead and others missing and turning the streets of one affluent sole district into a river Stranded partially submerged vehicles litter parts of Seoul while people with umbrellas weighed through the water in the heavy nighttime rain commuters slowly returned to work Tuesday morning after emergency crews worked through the night to clean up much of the mess but there were concerns about further damage as French rain is forecast for the second day in a row earlier commuters had evacuated as water cascaded down the stairs of one subway station like a waterfall and in a nearby city a rain weakened hillside collapsed into a university soccer field I'm Charles De Ledesma
