WanNa go to our doctor. Dr Sanjay Gupta is with US and also Dr Lena. Win An emergency room physician. Also the former commissioner for the city of Baltimore Sanjay so the staffer for the vice president testing positive. What does that mean for the vice president? I mean should he then go into to quarantine? Well they say that. The vice president What I read statement did not come in contact with this person This is this is one of those things where you know. You GotTa look at the situation and basically try and determine Was this a high risk situation? Medium risk or low risk in. And it's going to be medium or high considering. The person has tested positive but then they want to figure out how much contacted anybody have with. This person was the person who tested positive symptomatic at the time. They were at the office where they coughing and sneezing things like that. Then they make recommendations based on that. If it's high risk the person you know was coughing and sneezing symptomatic and positive then the people who came in direct contact but like they have to go in quarantine for some time. Medium risk is sort of a little bit more up to the judgment of the of the Physician sometime they may recommend short quarantine like seventy two hours. Like you remember Anderson. They did with those congressman and then they obviously monitor context so these guidelines do keep changing a bit but that's the current guidelines so so it should not mean anything for the vice president if he didn't come in contact with him or her so we're now have a couple days ago they were calling shelter in place although that seems sort of wrong. I don't know I think you and I talked about last night. Just calling it. Stay at home. Orders Saved Mortars New York Connecticut California Illinois. Is this enough? Is this going to be affected? Look you know Anderson. I mean this is one of those things and as I said last night. Even I don't take any joy in in in saying that I think this is not enough. I mean you know the idea that you have these states in New York and California big states. Certainly doing this. I think is important but you know viruses. Don't don't stop at the border you know. I mean the the idea that this virus is in the United States that it's spreading That it's spreading probably in other communities. We haven't gotten to that because of inadequate testing. I think that's all true and as we've talked for a couple of weeks now and Dr Wen is talked about this as well. Is that if you're going to do these policies if you're going to practice you know really implement social distancing physical distancing measures and and do some of the things that are happening in New York where you are in California. You GotTa do it now. You got to do it early. You GotTa do it consistently you gotta do it. Honestly people have to be honest about it and you have to diligently I the impression that people are waiting and win they wait the same. The same measures won't have as much impact and it's just going to drag this out longer and
