Three men accused of abducting a Naperville store owner arrested on federal kidnapping charges, Chicago
Men are charged in a federal indictment for targeting wealthy suburban victims, productions, robberies and extortion. Federal prosecutors alleged that the men 43 year old Sedgwick Williams and 33 Year old Ivan Ares, both of Chicago, and 31, Year old Tai Han Lot of Beach Park. Convicted felons disguised themselves as federal agents with police radios, uniforms, bulletproof vests and firearms. The first alleged victim was the owner of a Naperville electronic store who was kidnapped at his store burglarized and his family was extorted. That was in October of last year. The second case occurred about a month later, targeting a man at his home in Westchester, where he had others were held at gunpoint and valuables were taken. The indictment says. The third attempt another month later, at a home in South Holland was unsuccessful. They're charged with kidnapping, conspiracy, kidnapping, attempted kidnapping and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. They could face life in prison.
