Jetliner hits brown bear while landing in Alaska
Alaska Airlines jetliner struck a brown bear while landing early Saturday evening, killing the animal and causing damage to the plane. None of the passengers or crew members on board were injured during that accident at the Yakutat airport in southeast Alaska. Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facility says the Boeing 7 37 killed the brown bear cell. But Cub thought to be two years old, was uninjured. Left engine cowling of the jet was damaged. The plane remain on the ground Sunday.
