Listen: Mark Eaton, Aaron Donald And Rams discussed on Reimer & Dakota
"This show. Hope you're having a fabulous Saturday. Get ready for some of those bowl games. And we fourteen in the NFL next time. You hear me I will be on these airwaves midway through those early games in the NFL week fourteen after we started off with the titans thrashing the Jags. And tying a record a Mr. Henry stepping up big ninety nine yard touchdown. Wow. So that was pretty fun to watch that that game wasn't exciting. But I guess it is if you're a titan fan, and that's what it's all about a quick reminder. Because so many of you have asked you can pick up my book deal your own destiny increase. Your odds win big and become extraordinary. Forbes books published it what an honor that couple of weeks ago was on time square shocking. As a kid. I would never think that I would walk by and see my book on Times Square. One of the things. I talk. About an I interviewed fifteen thousand people. I talk about Mark Eaton who was a mechanic and ended up playing for the Utah Jazz and was incredible. And I've got a picture of Mark. And I in the book, and he's so tall. I look like, I don't know. I don't even I barely come up to his waist seriously. It's just absolutely crazy. He played at UCLA. But he didn't he was only there for a couple of years. He logged maybe forty two minutes on the court. He was frustrated at a height advantage. He was seven four without shoes on and he never would have thought he would have ended up playing professionally then he he was encouraged to do. So and he said his mentor because I think you need everybody needs a mentor was Wilt Chamberlain. That's a little piece of the story. So who is it you surround yourself with there's lessons on how do you deal your own destiny? No matter what you do. All right. Speaking of destiny, I think the Rams are a team of destiny when I look at Los Angeles and having secretly there. My secret team I say secret team because I've been a Rams fan per se doing this and paying attention to the Rams. Yeah. I I mean, of course, to what they're what they've been able to do if you're a fantasy player Todd Gurley. Does it get any better than that? You look at Aaron. Donald and what he's been able to do. I mean, incredible. He's a one man wrecking crew wrecking ball, whatever you wanna call him, and some people feel that he's the NFL's most valuable player defensive tackle who did less. Nothing. Get in his way. Nothing gets by this guy. He is amazing. Some of the big plays. He's made over this past season. Incredible. Here's Todd Gurley though talking about, and of course, he's all about running the ball. So I can about the bears defense for this Sunday night game. Obviously, you know, they have arguably. The second best player and fell. Besides Donald and Kyle fuller. He's great came Hicks. Roquan got great. Great defense statement plan. You know, pretty good ball. And obviously they got fifty two. So when they got him back. They're gonna have a chance. Yeah. There you go casinos. It's tough with Khalil Mack. And how tough he can be. And it's interesting he said right away Aaron Donald his teammate as best player behind him. So then you look at Jared Goff in the numbers that he has been able to put up as a quarterback here for the Rams and really coming into his own in yet another season. But this is a season where fantasy people have gone crazy for him. But more than that. It's the numbers that he just continually not Pat Mahomes numbers. But the numbers that he's continually putting up and the numbers are very, very solid. Here's what Jared Goff said about wanting to get the number one seed, always big I think, that's what you always go for is up. So you want to win as many games as you can. But if you do."
