Downed power lines sparked at least 13 fires in Oregon

Are blaming More than a dozen wild fires have erupted in Oregon State on downed power lines during a period of high winds between two communities east of Salem. Report from the Northwest Interagency Fire Coordination Center says the fire started September 7th during a period of peak winds apparently knocked down the lines. That wasn't clear how much it would affect those fires had on a separate fire that started back in August. Wildfires are burning across Oregon, California in other parts of the West, destroying millions of acres and covering cities and dense smoke.
