There are some big changes coming coming to to Virginia Virginia lawmakers lawmakers were were supposed supposed to to be be done done with with the the changes changes by by now now but but the the General General Assembly Assembly is is still still in in session session WTOP's WTOP's Max Max Smith Smith was was in in Richmond Richmond this this weekend weekend fights fights over the budget that's now going to be passed Thursday a laundry list of major bills filed this year and dispute even within and among the new democratic majorities forced a last minute extension of the session with final votes on bills allowed through Sunday afternoon and the budget vote later this week still lots of big bills are going to the governor for signature from transportation funding through tax increases to minimum wage hike starting next year in new online sports betting Virginia is also set to decriminalize pot possession address discrimination and offer drivers privilege cards for undocumented immigrants who live in Virginia the general assembly also approved a number of gun regulations this year
