In California at this time it's not a good situation there were California is beginning to see the surge of coronavirus cases that threatens to overwhelm hospitals governor Gavin Newsom there said today California's cases grew twenty percent twenty six percent in a day Johns Hopkins University tallying nearly forty seven hundred California cases as of this afternoon with ninety four deaths state officials have been preparing for a surge in hospitalizations and a scramble to create an estimated fifty thousand additional hospital beds that could be needed help arrive today the naval ship mercy docked in the port of Los Angeles they will start seeing patients and clients tomorrow dockside it has one thousand beds it will be used to treat non coronavirus patients to free up hospitals for virus
