If it wasn't for this play. If it wasn't for this happiest the the Packers. If it wasn't for these plays against the Miami Dolphins. If it wasn't for those plays against the patriots yesterday. Bottom line is is that those losses. But there are wins. There as well. And as I mentioned in our first hour, I'm looking to be wrong about the bears. Seventy nine is not bad when you have a first year coach and you're trying to dig out from underneath. I'm just hoping for better for this bears team that maybe they're better than I think, but we have to see as the season progresses. See how they're going to work out. I think that what I've seen for the bears. The first six games is similar to. Maybe what you see is that there's some improvement there with the offense. But it's still a long way to go because there are so many different wrinkles with this offense. And you look at the defense the defense look played well early you see how the defense is playing when Khalil Mack one hundred percent. This is not just a Khalil Mack defense there other guys defensively to need to step up as well. It's not Leonard Floyd defense. Others have to be able to get to the quarterback. Maybe it happens against Sam darnold on Sunday. We'll see. But I just when I saw from the bears defense last couple of games reminded me of lovey at the end. And really a lot of the John FOX era in which there is a lot in between there. We're after the the kickoff is there and the the opposite team is settled Lynn there's a lot of lot of plays in the back of the linebackers in front of the secondary cash cash over and over again big plays missed tackles that can't happen. Can't happen. So I I'm I'm I don't care if you're a team that's not just for the playoffs or not. That's gotta get better. So we're talking to you about this on the spirits Monday. He just thought he played all right in yesterday's performance. If the patriots. All right made some plays here. And there we're moving the ball offense. But then you just go back to those given the ball away the Turner assumptions and not that I thought they were bad decisions or anything or bad throws. Just fifty fifty balls and the credit goes from making plays. But we got to continue to take care of the football. That's on me. But we didn't have the balls offense. Probably way we battled which gotta make sure that we just come closer together and get better from the experience and and go back to work this week because it takes all three phases and all eleven guys at the same time on each and every single play. So thought we did some good things. I thought I played all right. And just gonna watch the film and see what we can do even better feel like I left some completions out there. Immediately. You come back. You look at the completion percentage that you just want to complete every throw you you go out there. But I thought I gave him my my team a chance to win. We are close on the last play. But like I said before it's a combination of plays throughout the game. Which you gotta make sure that we continue to get better as an offense. I thought we did some good things today. But we just gotta make sure that we continue to clean up clean up. Our mistakes be even better on third down in the red zone. Continue to move the football and take pressure of our defense and special teams and make sure we're getting better in those areas. I went to seven and nine then after the first couple of games, and like, oh, maybe there in eighteen and the reason at the C is there. They're making a lot of the same stakes over and over and a say into games, they're not learning from their mistakes like miss tackles last against Tampa, you clean that up. And then you see a whole bunch of the patriot. Same thing for Mitchell Trubisky miss. This passes overshooting under throwing and then passes in the end zone where he doesn't see defender. Or what special teams play that was? So I've seen a lot of negatives and three and three. And I mean, that's the record three and three is five hundred percent. So I give us a D. We're barely. We're barely squeaking by right now. And we're almost to the halfway point. And we're at risk of repeating last year over again. So fifty percent back in school was failing record, right? Yes.
