Listen: The Jews Challenge Jesus about the Greatest Commandment
"We've seen that Jesus exposed the Jewish leaders for their hypocrisy. They wanted to try to discredit Jesus but in front of the Jewish people but what we ended up seeing. Jesus just shut the mouths of the Pharisees to her audience. Sean's the SAJ ASES but now one other group comes up and that is the scribes and so they send one of the scribes up to ask the challenging question. Aw what is the most important commandment of all. There's one hundred thirteen commandments. We think of the Ten Commandments. And say those are even more but but which one's the greatest of them. There's been a challenge with this because some Jewish leaders. At the time we'd say the great commandment was to love the Lord God with all your mind heart song strength others would say it's about doing the law through through obedience which is the greatest. There was a challenge here. Here's the difference what we end up. Seeing Jesus says says the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your mind with all your heart with all your strength but then the second is like it. Love your neighbor as yourself all other commandments. He says rests on these two. So gives the greatest one now. If you think of the ten commandments those first four fit in the first one this this next six fit in the second one but he says all the commandments every commandment fits under love the Lord your God with all your mind on strength then you can love your neighbor as yourself and all the commandments. All of them fit under this again. The males of the Jews were stopped. However this scribe Jesus just says you're close to the kingdom."
