Listen: Nathan Mackinnon, Florida And Calgary discussed on SportsRadio 94WIP Nights and Weekends
"Didn't see the frozen four hours with the avalanche in Calgary against on a two. But I'd heard that he struggled a bit up there. I know that he got an assist against the, you know, Denver. But I heard that he wasn't so great. So. I was a little concerned about just throwing them in the NHL lineup and a Stanley Cup playoff game. But he was up to the task, man. He looked good and he played more than almost fifteen minutes. And it's going to be in the lineup here in game four, and I'm sure he'll be even better. So like when he played during the season, right? You'd watch him play and he'd he'd like people. He was great. And then in the play offs whatever you wanna call it the tournament. The he, you know in the semi's and vinyl he got you know, they were on him like a glove. I mean because they everybody knew that you couldn't give him any space. I thought he got like star played in the you know, like in the final you gotta remember that team. They played was better than them. They're the best team in college. So they knew what they were doing against him. I think that's kind of why he had a bad semi final. Although their team had a great year. And he was unbelievable. I thought the key for you guys. Nate MacKinnon was a brilliant. I thought last night. With a couple of power. But goes you get on the board like that too. And your building in a Pepsi can that places rock, and he's your he's your start. I thought that was huge for you guys. Nathan MacKinnon has been really really good, especially in games, two three or two and three. But he he's he's risen to the occasion. He's a superstar. He's playing like it the flames Johnny goods road, not so much, man. He he he's only got an assist he's kind of been invisible. And I think that's a big part of the series is the avalanche is top forwards McKinnon, and rotten and and Landis Gog or are just playing better than the flames. Top guys right now. Right. I mean, you could just see just even in shots. I mean, these guys I think those guys alone Ed like fifteen twenty shots that top line. And then you look at the other side and they got like three shots to five shots. It's unbelievable. They're they're just firing on all cylinders and the Jack. I mean, they're getting in there and getting chances fifty six shots for Colorado and in in game three which is ties a franchise record from nineteen ninety six when they be Florida and triple overtime to win the cops. If you remember that. But I I mean, they they did it in regulation fifty six shots as you said they just dominated on the four check. They didn't turn the puck over mill in the middle of the ice much and and their possession time in the offense zone was was was big. So I mean overall, I think in all three zones the odds, especially in game three just"
