"Networks that have figured out how to do that HBO seems to to it over and over but now net flicks has kind of changed the game as well. With the way, you just drop a whole series. I can only imagine if game of thrones had been dropped all in one binged, I think thirty percent of the American workforce would have called. No, absolutely. I think one thing that's important members game of thrones is actually taking an older kind of style and approach we often talk about the death of the monoculture, the death of appointment viewing. And there used to be shows that everyone would watch and talk about the next day things like lost. But you know, breaking bad was really the last one. We. Had before a game of thrones came along because of the rise of net flicks. And things like that people watch things on their own time. They watch things in giant binge sessions rather than week to week. And what game thrones did was capture that appointment viewing again. And I think one thing we're seeing is all these companies Amazon with Lord of the rings. And we'll have time we have Disney plus with all the marvel miniseries. They just announced everyone's trying to capture that appointment viewing again. And you know, that's going to be a very difficult thing to do. And I think one thing that has come out of game of thrones is the idea that you can pour a ton of money into a show. Maybe it's worth it. And that's one thing HBO is done each episode costs exorbitant amounts of money, but it's worth it. Because look we're talking about right now. Right. Everybody's talking about it today. And that is what they're looking for one listener or the one eight techs club wrote. I watched one episode enjoyed the music drama and special effects but decided it was too violent for me. I really have to question the ethics and impact of watching high levels of violence for pure entertainment, accurate, historic documentation is appropriate, but the portrayal of violence just for its own sake. Does not seem like a good choice on any level.
