When you are under constant feeling of stress and you don't know how to handle it it you lose sleep. Loss of sleep affects extra health. You lose an appetite. May Be loss of proper nutrition affects your health it so it's all this domino effect kind of thing you know. It's also also thought that positive and optimistic people tend to live healthier lifestyles. They get more physical activity follow a healthier diet. Don't smoke or drink as much alcohol and just overall live a healthier lifestyle. Not sure if you're self talk is positive or negative question mark. So if you're wondering well how do I tell some. Common Forms of negative self-talk include filtering. You magnify the negative aspects of the situation and filter out all the positive ones for example. You had a great day at work. You completed your task ahead of time and mirror complimented for doing a speedy and thorough job. That evening you focus only on your plan to do even more tasks and forget about the compliments he received so you don't like we talked. It was maybe a couple of weeks ago. Yeah last week where somebody if they give you. A compliment acknowledged that compliment. I feel what that feels like. Talk to feel the being happy for for your accomplishments and all those things personalizing when something bad occurs you automatically blame yourself for example you here at an evening out with friends is cancelled and you assume that the change implants because no one wanted to be around you well. That's not the case at all. Ever right catastrophe you automatically anticipate the worst. The drive through coffee shop gets your order wrong and you automatically think that the rest of your day will be a disaster sir. I can't do that and polarizing you see things only as either good or bad. There is no middle ground. You feel that you have to be perfect for or you're total failure. That's not the case. Either right focusing you can learn to turn negative thinking and positive thinking the process simple but it does take time and practice. You're creating a new habit after all here are some ways to think and behave in a more positive and optimistic way identifying areas to change. If you want to become more optimistic engage in a more positive thinking I identify areas in your life that you usually think negative about whether it's work your daily commute or relationship you can start small by focusing on one area to approach in a more positive way again. We've talked about this before if you just if you're struggling with a coworker or your partner or your husband and just you're in a place where it's seems like everything's kind of negative or it's always tense or it's always stressful. Just start to say. I'm grateful for whatever it is the smallest thing. I'm grateful that they set my keys on the counter. I'm I'm grateful that they made me a sandwich or grateful in that. Gratitude will magnify magnify magnify totally flipped that such a side. Note you guys. I'm internally laughing because I just saw Andy Cohen on watch what happens live yesterday. Stop and evaluate. What your thinking? If if you find that your thoughts are mainly negative. Try to find a way to put a positive spin on them gay or just remove him if we need to flip on a quick positive song pull up a funny joke doc. Whatever it is to get yourself out of that negative Rut and back into a more positive Rut and a positive outcome or outlook? Be Open to humor. Give yourself permission to smile or laugh especially during difficult times. Seek humor in everyday happenings when you can laugh at life you feel less stressed trip. Yup.
