"Weather station. News Radio six ten WTVN. The weather. So it happened this past week. If you have the apple watch series for the final. Finally, we get that update. Right. That you can take your own ec- g in the comfort of your own home. But coming up in just a few minutes. I can talk about exactly how it works. And also most importantly, how accurate is it? And the phone lines are open one triple eight eight to five fifty to fifty four is way to join us. And of course, there's Andrew babinski in the Kim Komando show man cave is always our official. Call screener? How are you? I'm well. Thanks, Dan in Savannah, Georgia. Yes, it's going to be first up. He is married has some children and these children play sports. His wife is constantly out of town. So she has to miss this morning. What kind of sports do they do baseball and basketball? Okay. And he wants to be able to livestream the sporting events. So that she can watch it when she's on the road live. Doesn't have to wait and get home and see a iphone video. We're talk to the kids and say, oh, did you get the I heard you got that winning shot? Right. She wants to be able to experience it. So he's trying to couple of things you tried an ipad didn't work tried to do it on Facebook didn't like it. So he's calling you. What's the perfect solution to make sure mama can see babies play basketball because that's an important part of growing up, right? Hey there, Dan. Hey, guys. How are we doing good? So you tried Facebook live. Have you tried anything else? Periscope. But the I was a little bit of an older model. I don't know for new model would do the trick. So that's why I'm obviously leading on your find out. You know what? I don't need any sound quality whatsoever. Nobody wants to listen to me yelling screaming. So that's a wide angle would be helpful. But I the periscope connection. They'd be was my phone said, no. Tell me tell me what the problem was is it where are you getting the great out button on Facebook. Or was it buffering were you losing the connection that was trying to reconnect or sometimes the video wasn't very clear for the people on the other end. Because also I've had now. My my son was grandfather say, hey, can you send me the link? I'd like to watch and another other parents saying, hey, by Weiss at home. She like to see our son play as well. So like, all right. Well, okay. I can send it out to a couple of people that started. Something that could be reliable. Well, see this is the anytime. You're talking about live streaming is that you've got a couple of variables right number one is like you mentioned the connection. Okay. If you don't have a decent wifi is best. And if you can't get on wifi, and it's reliable, then you get on a four g lie. The other thing that you want to look at are the live streaming settings in and of itself. And so for example, if you're taking this with your phone, which is fine. Okay. There's no problem. If you want a camera you can do that to wifi hooked up with a camera. But but he wanted to do this with your phone just to make sure is that incentive broadcasting or recording it in ten eighty p is that you bring down the settings just a little bit to four eighty pay. Because that takes that takes about like a half a megabit per second to about two per second. As far as that whole transmission speed. So it's a really good option. If you're going to be on a mobile device. That's the first thing some other options, you might want to try first of which is YouTube live YouTube live is really easy to set up. And what's nice is that it's really easy to share that video too. So you're not relying on somebody. You know, having a Twitter account or even a Facebook account anymore. Right. Yeah. And so if you go to YouTube dot com and then slash live. They have something called the dashboard, you're gonna have to sign in. But what's really nice about Facebook live when you start talking about livestream events is that it rox shoes through various steps like under a QNA almost. So it'll say, okay. So what what resolution do you want this video, and you just kind of like point and click on these different boxes, and then you can add streaming options. You can also said some privacy controls. So if you don't in fact, you don't want the whole world to be able to view this video, but you wanna be able to send out the video privately that you could do that as well. So my recommendations try YouTube live, and then you lower it down to four eighty. Fantastic. That sounds great. Andrew Andrew, you had something you wanted to add our family my nephew wrestles. So we're we're kind of in the same situation and we use an app called Marco Polo, which is a video. You guys are all over that. And one thing that's cool about Marco Polo is that you can set up dedicated channels dedicated people. So we have a channel called Carter wrestling. And anytime anyone is at the event they go live on Marco Polo. I don't have to watch it live it saves the clips, and that's awesome. I can go back and watch whenever I want to. And so that means everyone on the feet is not trying to watch at once. But we all get to see now. I wish they charged for that zero dollars per month. No, absolutely free. With your phone. Use your phone. Recording it, and then it goes live, and then people can tune in. The clips are all saved in the cloud, and then they can respond to him. So when we wouldn't Carter has a wrestling match and he gets a win. Then there's about six or seven clips after that of people saying congratulations Carter, and he gets to watch that afterwards. That's that's really awesome. Yeah. That's terrific. I mean, that's that's a lot easier than going to Facebook live or anything like that. Although Facebook lies pretty simple. I can't believe that they're not making any money at this. Or are you are you seeing a lot of ads zero ads? Okay. Okay. Are they tracking everything that you're doing? Absolutely, okay. Go actually is sitting out in front of our house. Usually when we're recording. And all the advertisers are tired. Oh, wrestling videos. Yes. I wonder why we had are getting ads for that. So, you know, give that a shot because I think that sounds really awesome Dan that Marco Polo app. Sounds great. You got it. Thanks for your call today. Let's talk a little bit."
