Listen: President Trump, President And Trump discussed on Power Trading Radio
"Rex Tillerson. Says that he and the president. I said we have different styles, which is that's what I would agree with him. Yeah. They have different styles. And like a lot of these guys and that Trump has in his administration. And we've said it before when they were at the there were several people at the Aspen festival, whatever that was speaking in front of these audiences of elites, and they're they're laughing about the the president that they serve under because they have different styles. So they want to disassociate while he's not my kind of guy want everyone to know that they want to know that he's not he's not one of them. I'm not a Trump guy and Rex Tillerson is no different. But he admitted at the beginning of the interview that they have different styles. Then he said, we don't have the same moral values. But then he doesn't site which more of as they're exactly what major moral value differences. Do you have from the president? And how that how does that affect foreign policy that was an ass by Bob Schieffer and the audience laugh when Bob Schieffer said that is really interesting, but without any follow up. He said the president basically wants what he wants. And he would he would say this is what I want. And then I would have to say. Say to him. No, no that's against the law. It's against a treaty without mentioning the law or the treaty and yet. President Trump is the one who's running a chaotic White House. It's chaotic over there. Nobody can deal with this guy. Candy in Ocala, Florida. Thanks, tom. Yeah. You can tell it, Mike Pompeo and Donald Trump. They're basically cut from the same cloth. And I wanna say that of all the cabinet members. Compares probably Trump's greatest promoter. I'm they even seem like they're great friends. Yeah. The way they communicated recently on the Saudi Arabian front, Mike Pompeo had no problems going out and speaking full-throated on the same page as the president. It's rare among cabinet members at any one of the administration. Yeah. I mean they chuckled together. They know you can tell you can tell they get along. Great. I'm happy for that. So with. With Rex Tillerson. What is he trying to do up there? Why is Rex Tillerson getting up and and trying to distance himself from the president now that he's it acted to be Frank is not much different than he did while he was in office. He would do similar things a try to express the fact that he is that he differs from the president. But he doesn't want to get specific. Why doesn't Rex Tillerson candy wanna tell us exactly which laws? The president was asking him to break. Well, he's promoting himself. He probably feels embarrassed from being fired from his job. And if there was any other case about it. He would have been on on FOX or would have been on your program. Yeah. With some liberal Joe. Yeah. I would love to ask them. I would love to sit with her son and ask him exactly which laws and treaties that he asked him to break, and we know that he was against certain trees. This is why we pulled out of the Paris treaty. The the Paris climate accord's, the president doesn't agree with a lot of the treaties that we have. So he would sit down with his his secretary of state and say, look, I don't like this treaty. I mean particular pick whether it's Paris, whether it's the trade deals or whether it's the international treaty on on immigration on asylum. He doesn't like the asylum treaties that we have because it forces us to let people in our country and catch and release that all comes from the fact that we've made these international agreements to let people into our country and adjudicate their them later on candy. Thank you for the call eight hundred three eight five two four eight six six eight three three eight five two four Tom read the president's. Tweet. He said that the Tillerson was quote, dumb as a rock. Domas iraq. And I couldn't get rid of them fast enough. This is why the president's Twitter feed is I it's good to consult on your own and just kind of go through the the president's tweets and see what he's talking about lately. Eighteen hours ago. He tweeted all caps fake news. The enemy of the people. Nothing new from him. No new information there. He's always said that the fake news. Is the is the enemy of the people. And everyone thinks that phrases incendiary or not everyone. But a lot of his detractors say he shouldn't be saying that and then people come out and the reporting on that tweet was the president once again calls the press the enemy of the no, no he didn't. He said fake news. Dash the enemy the people. Now these headlines came out after that tweet. This was on the independent CNN CNN offices evacuated and bomb scare just as Trump tweeted enemy of the people about media. He doesn't like. So the in that is true that the officers were evacuated, but not just as he tweeted they were evacuated after he tweeted, but the bomb scare that caused the evacuation happened before the president tweeted that's contained in every story that's written about this buried within. The story is the fact that there is a bomb threat on CNN. The president tweeted out this tweet as I said, it's time stamped eighteen hours ago. But a bomb scare did not happen after the president's tweets. But you would not know that from the reporting here is on media, a remarkably responsible website that has misleading headlines all the time, and they wrote Trump's sent enemy of the people tweet during Don lemon segment, comma, then CNN was evacuated. So they actually go out of their way to really make a essentially a false headline. Trump sent enemy of the people tweet during Don lemon segment, then CNN was evacuated over bomb threat. So what they do is Trump sent the tweet, and then there was a bomb threat. No, that's not what it was. Because once again within their article, it says the bomb threat happened before the president tweeted there was no cause and effect in there. But the way they set it up Trump tweeted, and then there was a bomb threat. That's not really true. Now, I guess you could take that headline apart. Trump sent enemy of the people tweet during Don lemon segment. That's true. There's no indication that he was watching Don lemon, by the way, it happened. While Don lemon was on the air. But in any case again Trump's enemy the people tweet during Don lemon segment, then CNN was evacuated over the bomb threats. So they're trying to relate the president's tweeted online, which there's no indication that had an can do with Don lemon. And then the the word then then CNN was evacuated due to a bomb threat. It does to me. I would say that that is a flat out lie. You can use your judgment on that. But I'm sure they would they would say, no, no, no, we craftily worded it. So there's no lies in. They are obviously trying to say that Donald Trump tweeted, and it caused a bomb threat. It did not because they admit it within the story. But they know most you people don't read their stories. You just read their headlines. Another headline from the independent CNN office. CNN offices evacuated and bomb scare just as Trump tweeted. So they said just as he tweeted, it's not true either. The the the bomb scare happened before none of the headlines benching that bomb threat, happened Trump tweet. None none of these things had to do with anything. Donald Trump was not notified of any bomb that he was not aware of any bomb threat. He wasn't aware of anything. I don't even think he's aware. Don, lemon because I don't think he watches the show, but all the headlines make it seem like he was watching Don lemon. He got mad and tweeted enemy that people. And then someone made a bomb threat on CNN. None of that happened. Now once again. The reporting on the enemy of the people remark is in and of itself fake news. Every time they do a story on Donald Trump and the word and and fake news. Donald Trump and enemy of the people almost every story about this subject is fake news. It is riddled with falsehoods purposeful, and some of them not purposeful or you can't you can't guarantee. Some of them are guaranteed to be purposeful misleading statements in their stories. The very definition of fake news. It's also the very different of irony because the more they complain about his fake news enemy, the people. The more fake news stories, they create Franken Fredericksburg Virginia. Hey, Tom, great description over walk career. I had a lot of contact with the company's CEO, particularly oil company, she ios. And there's there's a there's a big difference between a Trump as a CEO and Tillerson has a CEO Trump more like the guys that I I met many many years ago who were CEO's they really either founded the company were were part of it, real gross. The CEO's today are more bureaucrats who are treated like Gotcha, in many cases. So when you bring someone like Tillerson, who's how would describe as a bureaucratic CEO. He's got a tough time working with Trump, you bring into Wilbur Ross is basically a self made man doesn't seem that that difficulty. And I think a lot of it comes down to the types touch has very big egos, and you can't go to work for Donald Trump. If he got a big ego. Also, do you think it has anything to do Frank with the the publicly traded company versus a private Trump, everything Trump is private am? I right. He's not nobody. Nobody buy stock in the Trump organization click. Yeah. And Exxon is essentially owned by just by the shareholders, just massive massive massive amount of shares. Exxon ends up being almost like a country in and of itself. Which is why they often turn to these big. CEO's to be at the State Department. But essentially, it's like it's a different philosophy. When you have someone like a independent owner, like a, you know, we were talking the who the shark all the shark tank guys, they understand Trump, but CEO's of these big companies the Jack Welsh is of the world they end up being more establishment. And they don't understand the likes of a guy like Trump, absolutely bureaucrats. You gotta take their risk avoiders. They were successful in their career because they were never in the wrong place at the wrong time where a lot of guys who took the company made mistakes and agitate Heiki maybe start over again. So it it really is a big cultural difference. And and so better off when it comes to the business will bring in people like himself made people who can stand the heat. Yeah. Good point Frank. And yeah, you know, who is that the who's the pizza guy that ran for president remember nine nine nine. That's the Trumpian kinda guy Herman Cain. That is the difference between people off often say oh in government. We don't want someone who's just been a government bureaucrat their whole life. We want someone from the business world someone who's who's balanced a checkbook and had to pay taxes, and and and open businesses and things like that. I would modify that it's just like what Frank was saying. There's two types of people in the business world. There's entrepreneurs. And then there's bureaucrats and the people who work for a lot of these America's biggest companies biggest publicly traded companies oil companies and.."
