"Likely interest rate increase at their meeting in December which could slow down the pace of rate increases next year. The Wall Street Journal says under data dependent strategy. They're apparently considering the fed could step back from the predictable path of quarterly hikes. It's been on for most of the past two years that news broke in the final hour of the days, Wall Street session and had helped stocks storm back from steep early losses. That had the Dow industrials down well over seven hundred points during the morning, the blue-chip index finishes seventy nine points lower for the day. The s&p was down four while the NASDAQ and at twenty nine points"
