Turner will not be disciplined by MLB for return to field
Major League Baseball has closed the book on Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner's controversial return to the field during the World Series victory celebration, even though he'd been removed from the game or did isolates when his Corona virus test came back positive, the commissioner says in a statement today. While Turner's not been exonerated, he won't face punishment. Rob Manfred says Turner's taken responsibility for leaving the clubhouse to celebrate with his teammates, many of whom had urged him to join him for the photos also says the league should have assigned a security guard to monitor him. The Dodgers portion of the joint statement appears to excuse Turner's conduct because of his achievements on the field his popularity. Turner himself did apologize in the statement for going back out onto the field.
