Jellyfish that can grow to size of beach balls seen in Carolinas


The size of beach balls, you heard me right have begun to show up on the Carolinas coastline. South Carolina Department of Natural Resource is set in the Facebook post that they are Australian spotted jellyfish. While they've obviously introduced themselves far from the original Pacific Ocean range there's sometimes seen along the Atlantic Coast. Researchers say the jellyfish formed large blooms and eat fish and shellfish eggs and also cause damage to boats and fishing gear. Department says one reported sighting has been in murals Inlet, while others have also occurred in North Carolina. That
