Listen: Boston, Sarah, Chicago discussed on The Four Top
"And so I can find no case forever. Preferring refined carbohydrates food for any purpose for any purpose or any purpose. Sarah, my understanding is that your runner you raised a lot. My understanding is to prepare for a raise the best thing to do is load up on these refined carbohydrates is that correct? It is a lot of people do eat white before a race the day or two leading up to it. But I mean, we are moving away from that. Because we do realize that there are really no nutrients in the in less except for the wants pumped into them by bread-makers and things like that. But it is tough on so many runner and other type athletes stomachs to have roughage and vegetables and all that stuff the day or two before race. I mean, I meet women when I travel for another mother runner who don't eat salads for the week before marathon because they're like, oh my gosh. I can't have greens in my diet. So it is a whole lot easier on a lot of people stomach to beating white rice. Bagels baked potatoes. Things like that pasta with just very plain Marin are sauce pizza before race. And so those are kind of asterik days that you get to do that. And I say, it's pretty tough. I mean to eat a whole bunch of white food. There's just not all that appealing to me. And so the days I remember being in Boston before I ran Boston just merely? Okay. I guess I'll have a bagel like it's just it is kind of bland and boring. But that is it it helps fuel your muscles. And also, it's really easy on the GI tract. Yeah. You're actually just reminded me of something I sort of suppressed until now after the Chicago marathon, I ran that years and years ago, I ate something from a food cart. That was like right at the end it was like super spicy. And then I was up all night throwing up afterward. Because my the doctor at the yard said because your body is in shock after running a marathon. And you just need to put really simple blamed the land. I mean after you run. I mean, you don't feel like. Do big effort that you don't feel like eating much. That's a lot of people just drink chocolate milk or something like that. Because they can't even gag anything down. But yeah, you know, it's a shock to your system in a lot of ways run twenty six point two miles or to ride one hundred mile bike ride, or whatever it is you want to do. So you do have to just kind of go easy where you can. And a lot of people that white foods man is there middle ground between these two white foods moment, my first thought was when you mentioned the salads and vegetables and roughage thinking who wants you don't have to eat that you can have lovely soft cooked vegetables, including potatoes. Corn might be a little too much roughage.."
