And as health officials way the fate of indoor dining in New York City industry lobbyists are warning that a large number of restaurants across the state are in danger of closing in a survey by the New York State Restaurant Association more than 63% of restaurant owners say. They may have to shut down by the end of the year unless they receive financial assistance. And of those more than half say it could happen as soon as November. The group is calling on the state and federal government to pass an aid package as well as provide commercial rent relief and expand indoor dining.
