Swastika, New York, Is Keeping Its Name


Town in upstate New York, has decided to keep its controversial name. Board members in swastika unanimously approved the move, noting founders named it after a Sanskrit word meaning well being and not the Nazi hate symbol. CNN notes. Last year, a neighborhood in a Colorado town voted to change its name from swastika acres to old Cherry Hill.
